Kheer Ganga is divine place situated in Parbati Valley of Western Himalaya in Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, There is ~13Km trek to reach this place from nearest road head (Barshaini).
To Reach Barshaini – Overnight buses are available from Chandigarh which will take you till Bhuntar / Manikaran Sahib. From Manikaran Sahib, Bus service for Barshaini is sporadic. I managed to get 7:45 AM bus which took 45 mins to reach Barshaini.
Day 1 – Rudra-Nag route of the trek is very scenic and passes through Apple Orchids & crosses 3 waterfalls on the way. Rudra-Nag temple marks 8KM of trek after which the trek becomes steep.
Kheer Ganga has number of options to stay and you can travel on your own as the entire route is marked / trail is well defined.
Day 2 – Like all treks, try to start early since the bus service tends to halt in Evening. Last bus from Barshaini to Bhuntar leaves at 5 PM.
If time permits, spend some time at Manikaran Sahib as there is Gurudwara and Temple where you can take bath in hot water spring and taste some langar food.
